This past weekend, Erika and I took a little trip with some friends to New Orleans. I was recently given a new camera and I thought I'd try it out. Here are a few photos that I took in various places in New Orleans, my favorite city.

Those photos are ridiculously beautiful. Truly and sincerely, you have an amazing eye (as well as some wonderful insticts when it comes to digital color/hue manipulation).
The color photo of the fellow hanging up paintings on the fence was breathtaking to me.
Isn’t it amazing that the God who gave us these remarkable colors desires us to live in relationship with Him?
I love the “New Orleans flavor” shots too.
A trap that many people fall into is to look at the wonderful bits of culture in our society and say, “Wow, look at all that Man has done.”
One thing I am working on is really trying to open my heart and my eyes to see God in everything (since He really is there).
All that to say – praise be to God for creating Jazz. 🙂
Great shots. What kind of camera?
And NOLA is a photographer’s dream city.
Thanks, Tom! It is a great creative outlet for me. I actually pray and worship while out taking pictures. It is a great way to see the world as art and Gods handiwork.

Thanks, Steven. I have a Nikon d300. I am just beginning to understand a very little bit of how to use it. It is amazing. My d50 was stolen and the church gave me this one for pastor appreciation month in October. I was blown away by their generosity.
